Who can join:

General Medicine Students;
1. Young general medicine professionals up to two years after graduation;
2. Students of other medical fields;
3. Young medical professionals in other fields up to two years after graduation.

Types of membership:

1. Full members;
2. Support members;
3. Honorary members.

Membership Procedures:

To apply for ACMS membership, everyone must complete an application form with the following information:

1. Name of applicant;
2. Gender of the applicant;
3. E-mail and telephone number;
4. Date of birth;
5. Photocopy of ID;
6. Document certifying the study in any of the Faculties of Albanian Medicine;
7. Criminal record;
8. Motivation letter why they want to be part of ACMS.

A person may become a Full Member only on the proposal of the Executive President. Full members have the right to vote in the General Assembly.

Supporting Members

Supporting members are also volunteers of the Organization who are on their way to becoming Full Members. For this they must show a commitment and willingness to invest in the organization in various forms with the primary goal of the well-being and continuity of ACMS. Their contribution can take many forms and they are part of a register of volunteers, which is managed by the Secretary General. The latter in cooperation with the Executive President, after carefully looking at the candidacies and the work done over the year, decide whether the Executive President will suggest the candidacy or not. These members have the same rights as any other member of the ACMS except that they may not vote in the General Assembly and may not be part of the governing bodies of the Executive Secretariat.

HONORARY MEMBERS

Honorary Members will be awarded to persons who have made a significant contribution to the achievements and goals of ACMS. Only Members of the Board of Directors can nominate a person to become an Honorary Member. A person can become an Honorary Member only if his candidacy is approved by 100% of the Board of Directors. Only the Board of Directors has the right to elect or dismiss an Honorary Member. Medical students may not be elected as Honorary Members. Former medical students can be considered Honorary Members only if they have made a special contribution in ACMS. Honorary Members will be invited to ACMS meetings and events. They do not have the right to vote, but can serve as advisers on important decisions during the Assembly. Their advice will be mentioned in the report of the General Assembly.
