ACMS starts the implementation of our latest project, “Paint the World in Green – Mental Health as a Human Right”.This pilot activity project focuses on mental health among young people and is supported by the European Youth Foundation, a Foundation created specifically for young people and youth CSOs that operate in the Council of Europe’s member states.During this project, 30 young people will gain knowledge and skills on how to address mental health issues. Afterwards, they will engage in their community, thus providing the best knowledge to the young people who will be involved in the later phases of this project. This project was seen as a necessity, as the mental health problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, or those aggravated as a result of lack of access to medical care, are expected to have long-term effects.Stay updated to know more about the project and the activities that will accompany it.Besides that, “Paint the World in Green – Mental Health as a Human Right ” will serve as an opportunity for young participants to work with high school students in rural and suburban areas of the capital, to inform them and raise awareness about mental health. This project will also introduce young people to the basic concepts of community volunteerism, as a core element of active citizenship. Moreover, addressing mental health issues and educating young people about the importance of granting mental healthcare as a fundamental right, will directly contribute to the perception of this topic, which is still a taboo in Albanian society.
